SPRING 2024 Waxhaw rEc Baseball Registration!

This registration session will allow you to register your player for Fall Recreational Baseball: T-Ball, Rookies, Minors & Majors plus Babe Ruth.

Waxhaw Baseball is a proud member of Waxhaw Athletic Association and is one of the fastest growing athletic associations in Union County. Our focus is on teaching kids the great game of baseball and maintaining a focus on each individuals development in the process. 

With our continual growth, the commissioners, coaches, and families constantly strive to maintain an athletic organization based on fair & fun competition for our children. Waxhaw Baseball  participates with Cal Ripken Baseball and offers programs for players from the age of 4 to 12 and as part of Union County Babe Ruth, offers Babe Ruth baseball for players 13 - 18. 

Each program layers in components of our National Pastime, beginning with basic baseball (T-Ball)  up to Majors at the Cal Ripken level (50' mound / 70' bases) and finally Babe Ruth (90' bases).  Our program offerings:

• 5U T-Ball (4-5 year olds):  first introduction to baseball, players will hit off a tee and gain instruction on basic fundamentals.  There are no strikeouts, score is not kept, and there is no winner of a game
• 6U T-Ball (5-6 year olds):  players have 3 attempts to hit a coach's pitch, if unsuccessful, they move to a stationary tee, there are  no strikeouts.  Score will be kept, and there will be a winner of the game (games may end in a tie)
• Rookies (6-8 year olds):  this is a faster coach pitch option from a longer distance and longer base lenghts.
• Minors (9-10 year olds):  this is the first kid pitch division, with pitching distance of 46 ft and base length of 60 ft, ten fielders play in the field at a time
• Majors (11-12 year olds):  Pitching distance increases to 50 ft and base lengths to 70 ft.  Traditional nine fielders play the field in this division
• Babe Ruth (13-18):  three age divisions within Babe Ruth.  These games will be a combination of in house (other Waxhaw teams) and outside of Waxhaw teams
